Where can I look for child care assistance?

i live in wisconsin. we have w-2. it is through the state. not sure if you have that there. do you have wic there? if so they could help you. or just call a daycare and ask.

check with social services, they have AFDC but will ask that you seek child support from the father. They may also know of other options available.

Check out The Department of Human Services in your state.
They may pay all or you may have a parent co-payment, but depending on your circumstances, it’s worth looking into at any rate!

Here in Colorado our low income childcare program is through the county workforce center. You will just need to make sure that they will pay for childcare if you are going to school. I was on the program..I started using it when I was in college..I was going for my BSN, and had finished 4 years. I got excellent grades and was just starting the clinicals, when they changed the program and refused to pay for childcare for schooling unless you were also working full time. Since I could not do both, I had to quit college..but you should make sure that the program in your state covers school and not just work. Good luck!
