What kind of paperwork does an Army guy need to get his child taken care of and put in the Army’s system?

I found out the day before coming to Iraq that I am the father of a beautiful 2 1/2 week old girl. The mother (my ex of 6 years) did not want me included in anything because she thought the child was her current bf's. I had to leave the States without getting anything taken care of as far as getting the child enrolled and covered by the Army (DEERS and Tricare). I am also having trouble getting the correct answers from Legal Assistance here as the majority of the people are Air Force. Can anyone tell me what paperwork is needed and what I need to do to take care of this? I know I can contact JAG back home, but was wondering if there were any alternatives. Thank you for the help!
WOW! Thanks for the quick responses everyone. To answer the question about proof, we had a DNA test done and that is how I found out I was the father. I got the results the day before I left to come to Iraq, which is why I wasn't able to take care of anything before I left. I'm still trying to get a hold of the mother about the birth certificate. We live 3 hours apart from each other, so it is a little difficult for her to go pick up paperwork for me, especially since she is not military and would have trouble getting on post. I am waiting for word back from my boss back home to see if he could help. Thank you all again and God bless!
