i want to teach child care at the high school level. so do i need a vocational degree or a teaching degree?

In California, you must have a Bachelor’s and a credential to teach high school.
Unless you are teaching a vocational class, which child care might be.
Each state and district are different, so you will have to see.
With budgets being what they are, I do not know of any schools near me who even teach child care in high school- we are focused on core classes and basics. Early childhood education is reserved for college.
