Can I file for the Child Care Tax Deduction if I file as married but filing separately?

child care
lodleader asked:

I was working on my taxes at H&R block online and it told me that I could not use the $2,000 in day care costs because I am filing as Married but separate. Is that true?

Yes that is true. There are plenty of deductions/credits you lose filing mfs.
